God’s Chisel

September 18, 2009

Was introduced to this video by J-Son. It was a real blessing as it speaks about God’s love for us – of His design and purpose for us – that He made us GOOD, and continues to work on us to bring us closer and closer to what He intends us to be. It also mirrors our common responses to God’s moulding process to which we so often squirm and writhe under – giving excuses, complaining, justifying myself and even asking for a “time out”. I for one definitely identified myself with several of the responses given in the short video. But most impactful of all, was the closing note on which the video was made – “I am God’s original masterpiece’”. And so are you… YOU, are God’s original masterpiece.

Will definitely be checking out the Skit Guys’ other videos on Youtube.

Understanding

September 8, 2009

I came across a very touching story recently – a story in which most people would usually respond to it by saying “what love, what sacrifice”.  Most of us would have read more than once of these kinda stories, but this one stood out because of the teaching behind it. You can find the full article here at www.laughyourway.com, but below is the learning point

Once you understand why (someone) acts that way, or why (someone) thinks that way, it will change how you feel about him or her, though nothing has really changed.  Compassion will come with an accompanying perseverance—all because you now understand.  I cannot overstate the importance of understanding.

p.s. Special thanks to Agnes, who introduced this site to me ;)
